Meet Rachel Dunne

Rachel is a dedicated wife, mother of two boys, stepmother to a teenage girl, and a devoted follower of Jesus. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Literature from Auburn University and a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. As an Associate Licensed Counselor in Alabama, Rachel runs a private practice in Daphne. She has also been a Certified Stepfamily Coach with the Stepfamily Foundation for the past four years.

Rachel's passion for mental health is evident in her professional and personal life. Her journey into the strong mind-body connection began during her own healing process. She discovered the significant impact that physical fitness, particularly dancing, has on emotional resilience and well-being. What started as a childhood hobby of choreographing dances with her twin sister evolved into a therapeutic practice.

Dancing has been a part of Rachel's life since she was 3 or 4 years old. She and her sister would create dances for plays, talent shows, cheerleading, and even birthday parties. Post-college, she embraced Zumba and eventually taught classes for a while. In 2019, seeking an outlet to reconnect with her body, Rachel returned to dance, incorporating weights and resistance bands into her routines. This combination of cardio, strength, and resistance training became a vital part of her wellness journey.

Today, dancing remains Rachel's go-to workout. Her family often finds her dancing to Latin beats, 90's hip-hop, or Christian rap in the living room. Known affectionately as "that weird dancing mom" by her boys, she turns everyday moments into fun dance parties.

Rachel believes that dancing is one of the most effective workouts for maintaining both physical and mental health. Research supports the profound impact of music and dance on the nervous system, and for Rachel, it has been the most effective strategy for managing anxiety. She is thrilled to combine her expertise in mental health and dance fitness to offer workouts that are as enjoyable as they are beneficial.

Join Rachel for a transformative experience that promises to be fun and immensely rewarding for your mental and physical health.
